our story
As newly-weds, Chet & Verna shared many dreams and goals for their life together. Vintage Lane Greenhouse was not one of those, although, one of their dreams was to be able to work together and maybe even own a business that would be ‘family’ friendly. At the time, Verna was employed at Brylinn Greenhouse, when the original owners decided to relocate in another state. Little did they know, that a small part of that dream was unfolding. Verna loved working with plants and the interaction with customers. It was a huge decision, but it felt like the right thing to do, so they bought Brylinn Greenhouse and moved the business to their current location. It’s been a journey for them and many changes have been made since 2007. As advised, they started small and slowly grew to meet the demand for quality plants and superior customer service.

In 2012, Chet quit his job and made Vintage Lane Greenhouse his sole occupation. This was another leap in faith, but God has led every step of the way. He grew up helping his Dad with farming and loved it! One of his dreams was to have a farm of his own someday but he wasn’t thinking of it “mini scale” like young plant growing. He has thrown all his energy into learning the art of flower farming. He gets the credit for the healthy plants you take home to enjoy! There has also been plenty of trial and error, with which the patience of our customers leaves us indebted.

Verna, loves all things green. She cannot tell you of her favorite flower, as she loves them all. Her love for detail and design has led to custom designing containers for graduations, weddings, and other special occasions, as well as simply designing containers for your own patios. Customers are allowed to bring their containers in early so they are planted ahead and looking awesome for that special day!

Last but not least, we (Chet & Verna) want to recognize our dear children. Isla, Anabelle, Victoria, and Eli have been our greatest blessings. They have grown the business with us and cheer us on when we get overwhelmed. As a family, we look forward with motivation to continue to serve the great community we live in!
