Vintage Lane Greenhouse, located in rural Riceville, IA is a Garden Center that is ever-evolving. Thousands of edibles, blooming annuals, and perennials are grown right here in our facility. Direct from our greenhouses to your garden, it couldn’t get much better than that! We strive to grow high quality plants you can easily grow in your own spaces and enjoy all season long! Growing for you is not only our livelihood, it’s our passion.
SPRING
There’s always excitement in the air this time of year. After our long winters in Northeast Iowa, we are all ready for green sprouts and the promise of Spring!
Who are we, to be so privileged to care for these tiny green plants when Cabin fever hits the rest of the Midwest?! February is a full month of planting close to 7,000 Hanging Baskets, plus sticking thousands of cuttings for pot production later on.

Then there’s Fall… It’s been my favorite season since I was a child! All the color, texture and sounds that come with the season wrap me in awe! We grow 6,000+ mums and a host of component plants for fall containers in our facility. What’s lovely about that is, you can shop indoors no matter what the weather outside.

Here’s to the final and most inspiring season on the year! More commitment goes into growing Poinsettias than any other crop grown here. They just need more TLC than most plants. The reward is also overwhelming, when the greenhouse is brimming with Christmas colors of Reds, Whites, Greens, and Novelty Colors too! That’s only the growing part of what we do. We also design Winter Porch Pots for both Wholesale and Retail and host multiple workshops! Fundraisers are a huge
part of our winter program too.
